Mark Donaldson Building is a family owned and operated business that has been constructing both residential and rural buildings for 13 years. We are based in the beautiful Alpine village of Hanmer Springs and service the rural communities of Waiau, Rotherham and Culverden from our base in Hanmer.

Rural Dwellings
Growing up in and around Hanmer Springs, Mark has developed a great affinity to the farming sector. As a result, he is well known for creating farm dwellings from the typical farm pole shed and has become a speciality area for Mark and his team.
This is both budget friendly and aesthetically pleasing in a rural setting.
This was the go to option for many farming clients when they lost accommodation in the 2016 Kaikoura earthquakes.
Residentials
Being hands on with all aspects of the construction process and having an eye for detail, Mark is able to ensure a client’s vision is reflected in their homes. Building quality, multi-storey, architectural homes is a speciality.
Sheds
The typical pole shed is a versatile, cost effective, shed option for many clients.
It can be in the form of a pole shed, garage, workshop or deer shed. Mark and his team at Mark Donaldson Builders have experience in building them all.
